The Eagles are headed to the Super Bowl for the first time in 13 years, and some of their fans are looking to watch it in person.
If you are are considering making the 1,100 mile trek from the Philadelphia area to Minneapolis, AAA spokesman Ken Grant says you shouldn’t go on a whim.
“In this case, we know several people from this area are interested in heading out to Minneapolis. And we wanted to offer some of the best tips, as well as a few warnings, to watch out for scams that might exist and preparation is the key for everything,” said Grant.
If airfares are cost prohibitive and you are thinking of going by car, you’ve got about a 17-and-a-half hour drive ahead of you. And Grant says prepare yourself and your vehicle for the cold temperatures.
Grant suggests packing an emergency kit for your car - just in case you break down. And, make sure your vehicle is in optimal condition for the trip.
The Eagles face the New England Patriots in Super Bowl 52 Sunday Feb. 4 at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
