Anglers can fish without a license this weekend

Courtesty Delaware Surf Fishing

Fisherman angling to get out to Delaware’s waterways can do it for free this weekend.

Coinciding with National Fishing and Boating Week, the state Division of Fish and Wildlife is letting anyone fish, clam or crab without a license.

The only catch: people have to register for a free Fisherman Identification Number or F.I.N.

Fish and Wildlife is also holding its annual Youth Fishing Tournament Saturday morning. Locations include Ingrams Pond near Millsboro, Akridge Scout Reservation near Camden and the dog training area at Lums Pond State Park near Bear.

Free fishing is open to state residents and non-residents Saturday, June 3 and Sunday June, 4.
