Former Attorney General Beau Biden’s body will be lying in repose at Legislative Hall Thursday, according to a White House announcement.

The scheduled General Assembly session will be canceled and the service will be between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.

There will also be a viewing at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Wilmington Friday from 1 to 4pm and between 6 and 9 pm.

President Obama will deliver a eulogy to honor Biden’s life during a 10:30 a.m. Mass Saturday, also at St. Anthony of Padua Church.

Biden, son of Vice President Joe Biden, died of brain cancer at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center Saturday. He was 46.

The Vice President's office says all services will be open to the public.

In a statement, Gov. Jack Markell (D) says, “…the Legislative Hall ceremony will allow the General Assembly, other government officials, and the Biden family’s many friends the opportunity to pay their respects.”

Instead of flowers, the Biden family requests any contributions to be made to the newly launched Beau Biden Foundation for the Protection of Children.

Earlier this week the White House created a Beau Biden memorial web page, allowing the public the opportunity to express their sympathies to the Biden family.  The White House also released a specific address to send hand-written notes.  That address is:
