Blue Rocks play home opener Thursday night

Delaware Public Media

The gates at Frawley Stadium open for a new Wilmington Blue Rocks season Thursday night.

The Rocks welcome the Frederick Keys to the Wilmington Riverfront for their 2015 home opener.

Wilmington went 3-3 on its season opening road trip to Myrtle Beach and Carolina – finishing out that trip with a 2-1 win over the Mudcats Wednesday in North Carolina.

Frederick is the hottest team out of the gate in the Carolina League – winning six straight following a season opening loss.

Cody Reed gets the starting nod for the Blue Rocks against the Keys’ Luis Gonzalez.  Both pitchers are 1-0 with identical 1.80 ERAs.

First pitch is at 6:35 pm.
