Delaware Supreme Court Justice Karen Valihura takes part in the national Women in Litigation Conference sponsored by the American Bar Association in Philadelphia Thursday.
Justice Valihura is on a panel consisting of judges from around the country from both federal and state courts.
That panel will discuss women leading and excelling in federal and state courts and the advancement of women in those areas.
Justice Valihura will be citing examples of women in the law in Delaware, including highlights of the progress women have made on the bench in Delaware and an analysis of how often women appear before the Delaware Supreme Court.
The conference theme is “Leading for Success in the Courtroom, the Judiciary and in the Profession.”
Justice Valihura was sworn in as a Justice of the Supreme Court in July 2014.
