Lemon Fall by Scott Fraser showcases how artists in the exhibit play with perspective.

A new exhibit at the Delaware Art Museum showcases 20 regional artists, specializing in figure, landscape and still life paintings.

Curator Margaret Winslow said the exhibit, "Truth and Vision: 21st Century Realism," features powerful imagery of all shapes and sizes.

"There are some beautiful, meticulously rendered paintings that are very small, quite small, and other [are] larger than life figures and landscapes."

Winslow said the show was inspired by regional artist Robert C. Jackson.

Jackson, a University of Delaware graduate, wrote the book Behind the Easel: The Unique Voices of 20 Contemporary Representational Painters.

The Delaware Art Museum’s exhibit runs through January 22.
