Delaware is inviting nature inspired artists to show their work

The Delaware National Estuarine Research Reserve

The state is looking for nature inspired artists for its third annual Arts in the Estuary. The event features artwork, activities and demonstrations at two of the state’s historic areas, the St. Jones Reserve and the John Dickinson Plantation near Dover.

Reservations to exhibit are now being accepted by the Delaware National Estuarine Research Reserve (DNERR) for the event which takes place Sept. 26.

Maggie Pletta, education coordinator with the research says they’re seeking artists of all disciplines including musicians and culinary and performance artists.

Each exhibitor will receive a free 10 ft. by 10 ft. exhibit space, available either inside or outside the Reserve or Plantation buildings to sell their works.

Arts in the Estuary celebrates coastal and estuarine conservation, research and education at the St. Jones Reserve and highlights the work accomplished there to establish, protect and manage estuarine habitats for research and education.  More information available at de.gov/dnerr
