Delaware Waterfowl and Trout Stamp winners announced

Two out of state artist have claimed the the top prizes in the 2018-2019 Delaware Waterfowl and Trout Stamp contests.

Daniel Allard of Marengo, Ohio and his painting of a pintail duck and golden retriever will grace the 2018 Delaware Waterfowl stamp.

Eric Jablonowski of Suwanee, GA took home the top honor for the 2018 Delaware Trout Stamp for his painting of a brook trout.

Both artists received cash prizes and the rights to reproduce and sell prints of their winning entries.

All waterfowl hunters are required to have a federal and state Waterfowl Stamp when hunting in Delaware.

A Trout Stamp is required to fish in designated areas during certain seasons in Delaware. Proceeds are used for waterfowl conservation and stocking Delaware rivers and ponds.

The contest entries are on display through April 24 at the Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center in Smyrna.
