The Delaware Department of Transportation is holding three meetings this month to allow for public input on road projects.

DelDOT has a six year construction plan with over a hundred proposed projects including the rehabilitation of the I-95 viaduct in Wilmington and the Camden bypass in Kent County.

We also have a number of continuing projects throughout Sussex County including the Millsborough bypass, and some proposed grade level interchanges as well that eliminate crossovers and intersections along Route One,” said DelDOT spokesperson C.R. McCleod.

DelDot is projected to spend $3.4 billion on the collective list of infrastructure projects over the next six years.

The first of three public meetings took place Monday at the Newark Free Library.

“We presented the master list of projects that we have in the plan, and got a lot of great feedback from the community about the projects and how we have them prioritized currently, and also explained some of the projects and why they’re needed,” said McCleod.

The next meeting will be held in conjunction with Dover/ Kent County Metropolitan Planning Organization on Tuesday, September 19 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Camden Town Hall, 1783 Friends Way in Camden, DE 19934. The third meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, September 27 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at DelDOT's South District Administration Building-Conference Room, 23697 DuPont Boulevard in Georgetown.
