Enhanced DelDOT mobile app released

DelDOT has released the latest update for its mobile app and reports it is adding some features to help make its easier to find what you need.

New additions to DelDOT’s mobile app provide more information about a number of services around the state.

DelDOT director of Community Relations C.R. McLeod says he likes to think DelDOT has one of the most comprehensive apps in the country.

For example, he notes that the update offers new ways to help drivers plan their visit to the state’s four Division of Motor Vehicles locations.

“We are now offering the ability for a user to see wait times and live video feed of the DMV before they head over, so they know how much time they may need to allow for getting a new license or getting their car inspected. And we think that’s just another way of offering really good customer service,” McLeod said.

The app also adds a new layer to the travel map to help locate Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

And McLeod says the DART “Scheduled” times feature within “DART Bus Stops” has also been enhanced to display cancellations when a specific trip is not operating.

“Being able to find where exactly bus stops are…..if you’re a new rider, you can now found where stops are that closest to you, besides using the map function. And you’ll also be able to see the bus schedules as well,” said McLeod.

He says the DelDOT app has been downloaded more than 80,000 times to date, and is available for Apple and Android phones and tablets.
