First State come up empty in Powerball drawing

Delaware Public Media

Delawareans’ Powerball dreams burst last night. After weeks with no winning numbers, a lucky ticket was sold in the Hoosier State.

The $403 million jackpot ballooned to $435 million on Wednesday before the evening drawing.

If you happened to buy a ticket in Indiana with the numbers 10-13-28-52-61 and Powerball number 2,  you’re in luck. That’s where the only winning ticket was sold.

This is the first time we’ve seen a Powerball winner in nearly three months.

The winner can take the 435 million paid over time or a one-time lump-sum payout of about 244 million.

This was the 7th largest Powerball jackpot ever.

Delaware’s last winner was in December. A winning ticket worth nearly $121 million was sold at a Selbyville gas station. The unnamed couple who bought the ticket chose to take the cash payout option of $74 million.
