Football won’t be the only thing being consumed in mass quantities this Super Bowl Sunday.
The National Chicken Council expects football fans to eat 1.33 billion wings this Sunday.
That’s enough wings to circle the earth 3 times. And would weigh 338 times more than the combined weight of all 32 NFL teams.
The chicken council says 75 percent of all wings will be eaten at bars or restaurants this Sunday.
25 percent will be bought at a grocery store.
And many of those wings bought in Delaware could come from chicken producers right here on the Delmarva Peninsula.
Statistically, millennials are the biggest consumers of America’s favorite Super Bowl menu item - eating 60 percent more than any other age group.
