Delaware drivers continue to get good news at the gas pump.
AAA Mid-Atlantic says the average price for a gallon of regular Sunday was $2.25, down 5 cents from last week.
It’s also dropped 43 cents over the last five weeks since spiking in the wake of Hurricane Harvey and its impact on Gulf Coast refinery production.
And Delawaregasprices.com reports there’s just over a dozen stations selling a gallon of regular for $2.12 or less.
AAA says demand for gas continues to fall, helping push prices lower. And AAA expects that trend to continue.
The $2.25 average in the First State this week is just a few cents above where it was just before Hurricane Harvey and is inching closer where it stood a year ago when it was $2.15.
The national average currently stands at $2.47.
