Gov. Jack Markell will be spending next week in the world’s largest democracy.
Serving as the 2016 President of the Council of State Governments, Markell will lead a delegation to India for a fact-finding mission on improving legislative and business policies.
Markell and other council members will be sharing ideas and advocating for shared national priorities with Indian leaders. They’ll also discuss how to overcome challenges to achieving these shared goals.
The governor said in a statement that he’s “looking forward to sharing ideas with, and learning from, business and government leaders in our world's largest democracy.”
The Council is funding the Governor’s travel.
Markell arrives in India this weekend and will spend just over a week traveling with the delegation across the country.
