Hagley's Invention Convention to focus on videography

Hagley Museum and Library

This new year, kids in the First State can channel their inner Spielberg or Hitchcock during the 2017 Invention Convention at the Hagley Museum in Wilmington.

Kids from preschool to high school can explore how videographers entertain and inform, through a medium that’s ever changing.

Hagley Marketing Manager Jessica Eisenbrey says she participants will be able to make their own stop motion videos and learn how green-screens work.

It’s a cool event to talk about the science and engineering that goes behind video making, said Eisenbrey.

Eisenbrey adds kids can make their own inventions and learn how patents work, taking home their very own “patent” certificates.

The invention convention is Jan. 14-16 at Hagley.

Delaware Public Media' s arts coverage is made possible, in part, by support from theDelaware Division of the Arts, a state agency dedicated to nurturing and supporting the arts in Delaware, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts.
