Justice of the Peace Court 16 is getting a new home next month.
The court, which handles civil matters, closes Wednesday afternoon while it moves to a new space at the Kent County Courthouse.
It currently shares a building in Dover with Justice of the Peace Court 7, which focuses on minor criminal and traffic violations.
JP Court 16 will now have its own dedicated space in the Kent County Courthouse, while JP Court 7 will expand into the rest of the building on Bank Lane.
The civil court will be closed for a week during the move and will reopen at 8 a.m. December 2.
