Kyle Busch grabs pole for NASCAR Cup series race in Dover

Two of the top drivers in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup series will be on the front row for Sunday’s “AAA 400 Drive for Autism” in Dover.

Kyle Busch – currently 5th in the point standings – won the pole this afternoon (Friday). It’s his first pole of the season and first ever at the Monster Mile.

Points leader Martin Truex Jr.  was second in qualifying to earn the other front row slot.  Truex Jr. has already won two races this season.  He’s also a two-time winner at Dover after taking the checkered flag in last fall’s race here.

Sunday’s Monster Energy NASCAR Cup series “AAA 400 Drive for Autism” gets underway at 1 pm.

And in Friday’s Camping World Truck Series “Bar Harbor 200,”  points leader Johnny Sauter drove away with the victory, his first win of the season and first on the Monster Mile.
