The Mega Millions jackpot is closing in on $400 million after no one matched all of the winning numbers in Monday’s Mega Millions drawing.
That pushed the jackpot to $382 million for the next drawing Friday night. A winner could also choose a one-time $238 million payment.
That’s the 18th biggest lottery prize in U.S. history and the largest Mega Millions jackpot since a $536 million prize was handed out in July 2016.
Mega Millions hasn’t a jackpot winner since late April.
Delaware has never had a Mega Millions jackpot winner, but last December, a winning Powerball ticket worth nearly $121 million was sold at a Selbyville gas station.
And the Powerball jackpot is also pretty big this week. It sits at $307 million heading into Wednesday’s drawing.
The odds of hitting the Powerball are one in 292 million. The odds of winning the Mega Millions jackpot are one in 258 million.
