New Castle County schools dismiss early ahead of snow

A number of school districts in New Castle County are closing early in anticipation of snow Friday afternoon.

Brandywine School District schools are dismissing students an hour early.

New Castle Vo-Tech schools are dismissing at 1 p.m.

Red Clay and Colonial school districts’ middle and high schools are dismissing at 1 p.m. and elementary schools at 2:15 p.m.

Christina School District middle and high schools have already dismissed and elementary schools are letting out between 1 and 2 p.m.

All afternoon and evening activities at the districts above are canceled.

The National Weather Service is calling for 1 to 3 inches in New Castle County Friday afternoon.
