Noreen LaSorsa of the Christina School District will temporarily fill the district’s open superintendent position beginning Jan. 1, until the district hires a new superintendent.

The decision comes after Acting Superintendent Robert Andrzejewski announced in November that he would end his contract at the end of the year.  He has been in the role since October 2015 when Freeman Williams took a leave of absence. Williams retired in February.

LaSorsa is currently the Assistant Superintendent of Instruction for the district. She has also served as a teacher, assistant principal, principal and academic change leader, totaling 25 years of experience in the Christina School District.

The school board plans to interview three finalists in January for the district’s superintendent position.
