One winning ticket sold in $540 million Mega Millions drawing

Delaware is still waiting for its first Mega Millions jackpot winner.

One winning ticket was sold in Friday night’s Mega Millions drawing, but it was not in the First State.

The only ticket matching the winning numbers - 8-19-20-55-73 and the Mega Ball of 5 – was in Indiana.  That winner will take home $540 million or a one-time cash pay-out of $380 million - both before taxes.

It was third largest Mega Millions prize ever and seventh largest lottery jackpot of all-time in the U.S.

Delaware lottery can still try their luck landing a big Powerball jackpot Saturday. The Powerball prize stands at $288 million for Saturday’s drawing.

Delaware’s last Powerball winner was in May 2013 when an anonymous ticket holder split a $50 million jackpot.

The odds of hitting Powerball Saturday night are 1 in 292.2 million.
