A pair of big lottery jackpots up for grabs this week

For the second time this year ,Delawareans can try their luck at winning two big jackpots on one week.

No one claimed the top prizes in MegaMillions or Powerball over the weekend,  pushing their combined worth for this week’s drawings to $738 million.

The MegaMillions’ jackpot sits at $318 million for Tuesday night's drawing.  There hasn’t been a winner since January 5th when the prize reached $450 million.

$420 million is for grabs in Wednesday’s Powerball drawing.  That is the 18th biggest jackpot ever in the U.S. and the largest Powerball prize since it climbed to nearly $560 million in January.

Delaware has never had a MegaMillions jackpot winner in that game’s 15-year history. The state’s last Powerball winner came in December 2016 when a winning ticket worth nearly $122 million was sold at a Selbyville gas station.

The odds of winning the Mega Millions jackpot are one in 258 million.

The Powerball odds are about one in 292 million.
