The full field and schedule for the 2016 edition of Slam Dunk to the Beach high school basketball tournament are in place.

Tournament officials announced Wednesday the out-of state schools coming to Lewes next month.

The group features five teams in USA TODAY Super 25 preseason national rankings,  including 10th ranked Patrick School from Elizabeth, New Jersey and  #11 Westtown from West Chester, PA.   16th ranked Gray Collegiate (Columbia, SC), 17th ranked St. Benedict's Prep (Newark, NJ) and 25th ranked Neumann-Goretti (Philadelphia, PA) will also be part of 20 team field.

The tourney will also have its first international team, welcoming St. Michael’s from Toronto.

Four First State teams are also participating.  That list is topped by defending state champ Sanford.

The Slam Dunk opens its three day run at Cape Henlopen High School Tuesday December 27th at noon with Smyrna High school facing Maryland’s Bishop McNamara.

There are six games each day, set up in two three-game sessions.

Slam Dunk officials say last year’s tournament drew over 12,000 spectators up from 10 thousand in 2014.
