Southern Delaware Tourism unveils new website

Just in time for the summer season, Southern Delaware Tourism unveiled its new website this week.

D3 Digital Marketing Agency in Ocean City, Maryland handled the redesign, combining compelling visuals and concise accessible content while making the site easy to navigate.

“Well I think it’s easy to navigate OR easier to navigate than our former site. I think that, you know, nowadays, everything is short attention span theatre so you want to show more than tell. We wanted to kind of limit the copy but really make it easier to find,” said Scott Thomas, executive director of Southern Delaware Tourism.

Thomas says because their website is often the first thing prospective visitors to Sussex County encounter - it’s important it convey the area’s “real feel.”

“It’s a tremendous update to really, not only entice visitors to come here, but to help them explore Sussex County while they’re here. We wanted to be more visual with our website and I feel like we accomplished that” said Thomas.

Thomas adds they also worked to make sure the new site incorporated elements that make it a valuable resource for group tour leaders and meeting planners, and travel media - as well as locals entertaining family and out-of-town guests.

He also calls the calendar of events feature on the site a huge asset.

You can find the new Southern Delaware website here.
