VP Biden's post-White House plans appear to include UD

Vice President Joe Biden may have a presence at the University of Delaware once he leaves office later this month.

The News Journal reports Biden will “partner with the University of Delaware on domestic and economic policy matters” – quoting a Biden aide, who requested anonymity.

The aide also told the News Journal Biden will work with the University of Pennsylvania on foreign policy issues.

The news comes on the heels of Biden being heard on an open microphone after Senate swearing in ceremonies Tuesday discussing his plans to work with Penn on foreign policy and launching a trust to continue his “moonshot” to cure cancer.

A University of Delaware spokeswoman told Delaware Public Media by email the school has no comment at this time.

When Biden spoke last month at new UD president Dennis Assanis’ inauguration ceremony, Assanis proposed renaming the university's School of Public Policy Administration for the departing Vice President.

Biden is a 1965 graduate of the University of Delaware.
