Many people listen to the radio in their cars, or if they're a little old school maybe they listen to a tabletop radio at home. But how many people think about the layout of the radio dial or how the knobs and buttons feel in their fingers? 

In our latest Enlighten Me segment,  Delaware Public Media's Mark Arehart chats with author Danielle Shapiro.  They discuss Shapio's new book on industrial designer John Vassos, the man who made radio and television a pleasure to interact with and how the research library at the Hagley Museum in Wilmington helped unearth his work.

New Castle’s Read House is hosting tours this Sunday called “Courtship, Letters & Love” – featuring rarely seen love letters and accompanying etiquette rules - and even marriage certificates from the 1800s.

The Hagley Museum in Wilmington is inviting people to question their reality and choose the red or blue pill during its new film series. The museum is showing the sci-fi action flick The Matrix along with the cult classic Mean Girls, and '80s favorite The Breakfast Club as part of “Hagley After Hours: A Night at the Movies."

The fall season is fast approaching and for many that means grabbing something hot and pumpkin spiced and finding some seasonal fun.

Hagley Museum in Wilmington will feature more than 50 regional artists in its 38th annual craft fair.

Museum Tour Manager Bonnie Wirth says most of the pieces featured in the event take cues from the natural world.

She says you'll also see the work of an artist that uses cement castings of Elephant Ear and Rhubarb leaves.
