The Brandywine Conservancy and Museum of Art opened a new 1.5 mile trail this April 30 in celebration of its 50th anniversary.
The Brandywine Conservancy and Museum boasts over 4,000 works art. Land preservation is part of the museum’s mission, as well. And the two are actually connected.
"You not only walk through the beautiful naturalized meadows, you’re literally walking in the footsteps of the great artists who adorn the walls of our museum," Executive Director Virginia Logan said.
The new trail leads to the studios of both N.C. and Andrew Wyeth.
It’s part of a five mile trail system through the woods along the Brandywine River. The museum is planning a major retrospective of Andrew Wyeth’s work this summer.
