There will be some closures on Route 1 in New Castle County starting next week and continuing into December, according to DelDOT.
It’s part of an ongoing project. Crew will be installing a new Route 301 bridge over Route 1.
The closures will take place during evening hours. Route 1 southbound lanes will have closures between Pole Bridge Road and Route 13 starting Monday and into the following week. The northbound lanes will have closures Monday through next Thursday, and during the first week of December.
The detour route is Pole Bridge Road to Route 13 northbound returning to Route 1 northbound.
During the northbound closures, tolls on the Route 1-Boyds corner toll plaza will be waived.
