Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump will land in the First State Friday afternoon ahead of the state’s primary election.
Trump’s campaign added the event at the Delaware State Fairgrounds in Harrington to his calendar late Tuesday night.
The visit follows an appearance in nearby Berlin, Maryland Wednesday night by the outspoken and controversial New York real estate mogul.
Trump is fighting to secure enough delegates to avoid a contested GOP convention in Cleveland, where some Republicans are trying to orchestrate a shadow campaign to coalesce around another candidate.
Delaware is a winner-take-all state with 16 Republican delegates up for grabs that will be bound to vote with the primary results on the first ballot at the convention.
Other candidates have offices in the First State, though Trump is currently the only one in either party making an appearance ahead of the April 26primary.
