First State comes up empty in latest giant Powerball jackpot drawing

Delaware Public Media

Delawareans’ hoping to cash in on the latest mega Powerball jackpot were disappointed.

After weeks with no winning numbers, one lucky ticket was sold in California Saturday night.

That ticket,  sold in Sun City, California, is worth $447.8 million – or a one-time cash payout of $279.1 million - making it the 10th largest jackpot ever in the United States.

The winning numbers were 20-26-32-38-58, with a Powerball number 3.

The last First State Powerball winner was last December when a winning ticket worth nearly $121 million was sold at a Selbyville gas station. The unnamed couple that bought the ticket chose to take the cash payout option of $74 million.
