Free expungement clinic for youth runs Friday morning at Delaware Law School

Delaware Public Media

Criminal justice advocacy groups have partnered to provide expungement clinics free of charge to Delaware youth this summer.

Pro bono legal aid is being provided through a partnership between the Office of Defense Services and the Delaware Center for Justice to help eliminate the financial barriers sometimes caused by the $52.50 fee attached to expungements for minors.

One clinic was held already on July 6, and 26 youth had their records expunged. The next clinic will be held tomorrow at Widener University's Delaware Law School in Wilmington from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Pre-registration is not required. Those interested can just call ahead to the Office of Defense Services before showing up to attend.
