Wesley College has announced its new head football coach.
Offensive Coordinator and Associate Head Coach Chip Knapp has been promoted to replace the late Mike Drass – who died unexpectedly two weeks ago.
Knapp has been on the Wesley football staff since 1989, and served offensive coordinator since 1991.
Knapp’s prolific offenses have been a larger part of Wesley’s current run of 13 straight NCAA Tournament appearances. During that span,
Wesley has finished in the top 50 nationally for offense and scoring offense 11 times, including having the number one offense in Division III in 2015
Knapp has also coached 48 All-Americans, including quarterback Joe Callahan, who is currently on the Philadelphia Eagles’ roster.
