Wesley College up one notch in Div. III football polls

The Wesley College football team is moving up in the latest NCAA Division III rankings.

The Wolverines are fourth this week in both the D3football.com top 25 and the AFCA coaches poll.   They had been ranked fifth in both since the start of the season.

Wesley is 5-0 after rolling past The College of New Jersey Saturday 45-14, but it took a loss by the nation’s number one team to finally allow the Wolverines to gain ground.

Top-ranked Wisconsin-Whitewater’s 10-7 loss to Wisconsin-Oshkosh made room for the teams directly behind Whitewater to each move up a slot.

Mount Union takes over number one, with Linfield and Mary Hardin-Baylor at numbers two and three – just ahead of Wesley at #4.

UW-Whitewater falls to number six and UW-Oshkosh jumps from 15 to five .

Wesley entertains Kean University this Saturday in its Homecoming contest.  Kean is 4-1 after posting a 35-10 win at home over Christopher Newport last Saturday.
